How we handle personal information on fincalc.com, and our role when a bank or credit union uses FinCalc calculators on its own website.
Effective date: [Month Day, 2027]
Information we collect on fincalc.com.
We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical information any website receives.
Forms you submit
When you request a preview, request our security package, or apply to partner, we collect the details on that form, such as your name, work email, organization, role, and website, along with a record of the contact consent you gave.
How we use it
We use form details to respond to your request, schedule previews, send the materials you asked for, and follow up about FinCalc. We don’t sell your information.
Technical information
Our hosting provider receives standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to deliver and secure the site. We don’t use advertising or third-party analytics on fincalc.com.
Cookies and fonts
This site doesn’t use tracking cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so loading a page doesn’t send your information to a font service.
Calculators on a financial institution’s website.
When you use a FinCalc calculator on your bank or credit union’s website, we provide it on that institution’s behalf. The institution’s own privacy policy explains how it uses your information.
Values you enter
Numbers you enter to get a result are used to calculate it. Our calculation engine doesn’t write those values to its logs when a calculation succeeds.
If you share contact details
If you choose to share contact details, they’re sent to the institution along with the consent you gave and the exact disclosure you were shown.
No third-party requests
By default, calculators make no requests to third parties from the institution’s page. We publish a list of every connection a calculator can make.
Your requests
To access, delete, or withdraw consent for information you shared through a calculator, contact the institution. We support them in carrying out your request.
When information is shared.
- With the institution you’re working with
Leads from a calculator go to the institution that placed it, and to systems it connects, such as its CRM.
- With service providers
We use providers such as Amazon Web Services to host and operate FinCalc, under agreements that limit how they use information.
- When required by law
We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of FinCalc, our clients, and others.
- In a business transfer
If FinCalc is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Retention and security.
How long we keep it
We keep fincalc.com form submissions for [retention period], unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Leads captured on an institution’s calculators are kept for the retention window that institution sets, then deleted automatically.
How we protect it
Information is hosted in the United States and encrypted in transit and at rest. Configuration changes and data exports are recorded in a tamper-evident audit log. More about security
Your choices.
Access and deletion
You can ask what information we hold about you from fincalc.com, and ask us to correct or delete it.
Contact preferences
You can withdraw consent to be contacted at any time, using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
Children
FinCalc isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post changes here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
